BCMA Update 9/24/17

Hello BCMA Family!

We have a busy and exciting week!

A quick note about the unseasonable temperatures. Our building is fully air conditioned. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school everyday. Teachers are having students fill their water bottles and are sending them outside during recess.

We will finish our NWEA testing this week.

Field trip forms and fees are due on Tuesday, please turn them into your classroom teacher. We will not be able to take students who do not have a permission slip.

The field trip is on Wednesday, we are leaving at 8:45 and will be returning around 2:30, the entire staff is attending the field trip. PreK-4th grade are going to Fredrick Meijer Garden and will be participating in multiple activities, they should wear their school uniform and wear closed toe shoes, as the will be walking around. 5-8th graders are headed to ArtPrize, they also should wear closed toe shoes as we will be walking around downtown Grand Rapids. Students who normally pack a lunch should bring a lunch that day, students who normally eat school lunch will have a lunch provided for them.

Friday is our first dress down day and popcorn sale. Dress down is $1.00 and popcorn is $1.00. It is not to late to pre-pay for dress down and popcorn, $10.00 covers dress down for the school year and $10.00 covers popcorn for the year.

When dropping off or picking up (K-8) please pull all the way up to the orange cone, this will help keep the line from overflowing into 20th Street. Please use car line to drop off students in the morning, if you have a meeting with a teacher please use the front entrance.

Looking forward to next week:

Wednesday, October 4th is Count Day, students do not need to be in dress code on this day. Costumes are not appropriate for dress down days.

Please follow this link to access menus, our code of conduct and our first trimester schedule of events.
